Converting a an Old Valve Record Player in to a Single Ended Guitar Amplifier

This is one of my more fun projects. We take a Bush RP20 record player and convert it into a single ended guitar amp. I chose the Bush RP20 because it looks really cool with the tweed covering. They also have a full aluminium chassis which is rare to find in old record players. The turntables are nearly always broken and I simply remove them. I have built a few of these in the last few years. I have used various valves/tubes in these projects. In this one I used a Mazda ECC85 and a Brimar military valve/tube, CV4043. Or, better known as a 6BW6.

I used a Fender Champ turret board and a the 5F2-A tone control in this one. Sit back and watch the video to see how to convert these little gems in to a neat little vintage single ended guitar amp that looks cool in anyone's living room.

I have left links below for the schematic I used and the tube data sheets for this project.
